Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Kelly Kline, 27, I’m a personal trainer in Las Vegas. I love working out at Omalza Fitness, LVAC, FSY Fitness. I also love trying out new classes all around the city and when I’m traveling.
When and why did you start working out?
My family has always really been into the gym and from a young age, I was introduced to bodybuilding. My sister and I have been in sports our whole lives as well so transitioning from practices after school to getting into the gym just seemed natural.
How did you first hear about Victorem?
To be totally honest I was looking for cloth resistance bands and Victorem popped up on Amazon.
Did you use resistance bands previously in your workouts? If yes, how was it?
Yes, and I was using the rubber ones. The thicker ones kinda hurt and the thin ones were way too weak for my legs. I had tried a cloth band and was changed instantly haha. No more rubber bands for me!
What was your first workout with Victorem bands?
Legs/butt of course! Lol.
What’s your favorite exercise using the bands?
Oh man, that’s tough. I love to use them for activation exercises on leg days. For example, squat pulses, leg lifts, abductions. I also use them for these same exercises for glute burnouts. I love wearing them during hip thrusts, glute bridges, and when I squat to work the glutes even more.
What changes did you notice when you started using resistance bands.
Game changer! Completely changed my way of training. I always start every leg day with banded exercises to activate the glutes. I throw them in the mix with my lifting and so do all my clients. That burn from just the band is awesome. I’m someone with bad knees from sports so I can’t really do heavy squats and lunges etc. But I’m still able to get a crazy burn from just the resistance of the band.
What motivates you?
Knowing I haven’t reached my full potential yet. I know there’s so much more I can do and achieve.
What would you say to someone just starting out using resistance bands?
Look up lots of tutorial videos! Start out with lighter bands.
Are there any fun facts about yourself that you haven’t told anyone?
More of a weird fact but I like to look up movie spoilers during the actual movie haha. I get anxious and want to know what’s happening next lol.
