Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hello, my name is Solange. I’m 36 years old. I’m married and have an 8 year old boy. Right now I’m working out at Crunch. I also do music and take care of my family and love to decorate my house and keep it neat. I like traveling and outdoor sports. I'm mostly a beach girl since I was born and raised in the Caribbean.
When and why did you started working out?
I’ve always loved sports, when I was at school I did eight years of classic ballet and also played volleyball for my school team. Then at 20 I started going to the gym, I loved aerobics and group classes and then I started to lift weights.
How did you first hear about Victorem?
I heard about Victorem through Instagram and decided to give it a try because I was a little tired of rubber bands breaking. These were the first fabric bands that I saw.
Did you use resistance bands previously in your workouts? If yes, how was it?
Yes, mostly the rubber ones, they give you a different feeling but also break easily.
What was your first workout with Victorem bands?
Hip abductions, donkey kicks, banded squats and hip thrusts.
What’s your favorite exercise using the bands?
My favorite one (hard to choose) would be kick backs.
What changes did you notice when you started using resistance bands.
Victorem bands improve the engagement of other muscles during an exercise and also adds difficulty. I always have them with me when I travel, since they are lightweight. I mostly work the booty with them. I like the feeling of these bands, which is different from that of the rubber bands.
What motivates you?
Exercise just makes me feel great and look great, it is something I do for me everyday.
What would you say to someone just starting out using resistance bands?
You absolutely need to include these in your workouts, I warm up with them and prepare my booty for an intense workout so my muscles will be recruited faster when starting the workout.
Are there any fun facts about yourself that you haven’t told anyone?
Even though I’ve been training for so long I still haven’t used the black band lol.
